**spoiler alert**
Aside from the movie being absurdly predictable, as well as the whole fight between Drago and Rocky, the ending was bordering on stomach churning.
Let's set this up - Drago, the Russian fighter, kills Apollo Creed in an exhibition match at the beginning of the film. Rocky then goes to Russia to train (dramatically, I must say) and eventually fight Drago. The Russian crowd throughout the fight slowly warms to Rocky taking a beating from Drago (yes, a bit of stretch), and Drago, who is younger, bigger and stronger than Rocky, still manages to lose the fight - another stretch.
We all knew Rocky was going to win, especially with the whole Cold War metaphor, but the "anybody can change" speech Rocky gave was icing on the proverbial cake to ruin this otherwise "proud to be an American" moment.
The Rocky character is an American movie icon, but that moment hurt. Sorry, Sly.

You notice we review lots of horror movies - that is true, my brother an I tend to favor that genre. However, we have seen plenty of the classics, romantic comedies, sci-fi, action, biographies, foreign films, indie films, anime, and westerns, to boot.
